Custom Furniture in Sacramento
PhillBuilt is a custom furniture maker in Rancho Cordova, just east of Sacramento. We design and build solid wood furniture for homes, restaurants, cafés and offices: dining tables, benches, desks, consoles, chairs and statement pieces, mostly in white oak, walnut and cherry. Everything is made in our own shop with real joinery and finishes chosen to last.

Pieces and projects
The Cleo Table. A modern solid white oak trestle table with a sculpted base, mortise and tenon joinery and a hidden pin system that locks the stretcher. Built to your length, starting at $10,550.
Oak and stainless steel dining table, San Francisco. A solid oak top on a hand-polished stainless steel base, inspired by Dieter Rams, about a year from first sketch to delivery.
Okesutora, Sacramento. A production run of hand-turned white oak spindle-back chairs and benches with sculpted seats.
Slow and Low, Elk Grove. White oak communal tables and benches for a full dining hall.
Why custom
Custom furniture is sized to your room and built from solid hardwood, not particleboard or veneered MDF, so it can be repaired and refinished instead of replaced. You choose the wood, the size, the base and the finish, and the piece is built once, for you.

- We sketch options and confirm wood, dimensions and finish
- We build the piece in our shop and send progress photos
- We deliver and set it in place
