Custom Built-ins in Sacramento

A good built-in looks like it was always part of the house. PhillBuilt designs and builds custom built-ins for Sacramento homes: window seats, bookcases, media walls, mudroom lockers, office cabinetry and storage tucked into stairs, nooks and attics.

Cherry built-in window seats and cubby shelving by PhillBuilt – Sacramento built-ins

Trusted by Michelin-starred restaurants and landmark spaces. We built custom furniture for The Kitchen and Localis, both starred in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide California, and fabricated the curved front desk at SFMOMA.

Built-ins we make

  • Window seats with drawers or lift-up storage
  • Bookcases and libraries with adjustable shelves and cabinet bases
  • Media walls with cable management and closed storage
  • Mudroom lockers and benches
  • Home office cabinetry with file drawers and desks
  • Bar and butler's pantry cabinetry

Made for older Sacramento homes

Many homes in the Fab 40s, East Sac, Land Park and Curtis Park have walls that aren't straight and floors that aren't level. We measure carefully and build with scribes and fillers so your built-in fits tight.
