Featured project: The Citizen Hotel front desk, Sacramento
The Citizen Hotel occupies a 1925 landmark on J Street. Its new front desk was designed by Los Angeles studio Indidesign and built by PhillBuilt in solid walnut, with leather, glass and solid brass trim. The hardest part was the brass: half-round rod had to follow every curve and transition of the desk's face, so we built custom bending forms and bent and test-fit each run against the actual casework until it sat flush.

Materials and details
Walnut, white oak and cherry; wood veneers and high-pressure laminates; solid brass and steel trim; leather panels; stone and quartz tops; glass transaction ledges. We can plan wire management, storage and lower transaction counters into the build.

Yes. The Citizen Hotel desk was designed by Indidesign of Los Angeles and built in our shop.
Can you build curved reception desks?
Yes. We fabricate curved and radiused casework in the shop and fit metal trim to the curve.

Throughout Northern California and the Bay Area, and to Southern California for finished pieces.
