Commercial Millwork for Sacramento & the Bay Area
PhillBuilt designs, fabricates and installs custom commercial millwork from our shop in Rancho Cordova, CA. We build for restaurants, hotels, cafés, retail and offices across the Sacramento region and the San Francisco Bay Area, working directly with general contractors, architects, designers and owners.
What we build
- Reception and front desks: one-off statement pieces in solid wood, brass, leather and glass
- Commercial casework and cabinetry: service counters, back bars, storage and back-of-house systems
- Wall systems and shelving: open shelving, display walls and built-ins scribed to the architecture
- Restaurant and hospitality millwork: banquettes, booths, bar tops, host stands and dining tables
- Specialty fabrication: CNC-cut parts, slab work, bent lamination, and wood paired with metal
Recent commercial projects
- The Citizen Hotel, Sacramento: A custom front desk for the Autograph Collection hotel on J Street, built in solid walnut with brass, leather and glass to a design by Indidesign.
- 1X Technologies HQ, San Carlos: Two walls of adjustable cherry shelving, each about 65 feet long, with cabinetry wrapped around six 18-foot arched windows. We delivered it on a compressed four-week schedule.
- Slow and Low, Elk Grove: Our largest restaurant buildout: booths, seating, tables and millwork for the whole dining room.
- Localis, Sacramento: Claro walnut dining tables, a serving bar, a host stand and a slab table with a CNC-cut acrylic inlay for this Michelin-starred restaurant.
- Cantina Pedrigal, Folsom: White oak banquettes, seating, tables and bar shelving.
- Selland's Market-Café, Mast Coffee, Okesutora, Canon and more in Sacramento.
How we work with GCs and design teams
- Review and pricing. Send drawings, a design intent or even a sketch. We review the scope and come back with pricing and lead time.
- Details and materials. We work out construction details, materials and finishes with you before anything is cut.
- Fabrication. Everything is built in our Rancho Cordova shop using CNC machining alongside hand finishing.
- Delivery and installation. Our own crew installs, including after-hours installs for occupied or tight-schedule spaces.
