Custom Millwork & Furniture in San Rafael, CA
PhillBuilt builds custom millwork and furniture for San Rafael homes, offices, restaurants and shops. We build built-ins, reception desks, restaurant seating and furniture in solid hardwood, measured on site and built in our shop.
Trusted by Michelin-starred restaurants: we built custom furniture for The Kitchen and Localis, both starred in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide California. See our fine dining work.
For San Rafael homes
San Rafael homes range from Dominican and Gerstle Park classics to newer houses in Terra Linda and Peacock Gap. We build millwork that fits each one.
- Built-ins and shelving walls for living rooms, libraries and offices
- Media walls, window seats and benches
- Wall paneling, wainscoting and slat walls
- Custom dining tables, consoles and sideboards
For restaurants and businesses
Downtown San Rafael's Fourth Street restaurants and the offices along the 101 corridor both need millwork that works hard. We build for restaurants, cafés, offices and clinics.
- Bars, back bars and serving counters
- Banquettes, booths, restaurant tables and chairs
- Host stands, café counters and retail displays
- Office millwork and reception desks
Bay Area work
For the 1X Technologies headquarters in San Carlos we built more than 100 custom cherry cabinets and two 65-foot shelving walls around six 18-foot arched windows in about four weeks. For a San Francisco home we built a solid oak dining table on a hand-polished stainless steel base.
How it works
We review your plans or photos, measure on site, send shop drawings and finish samples for approval, build in our shop near Sacramento, and deliver to San Rafael. See how a custom millwork project works.
