Millwork for Mill Valley homes

Mill Valley homes are rarely square boxes. Hillside lots, vaulted ceilings, redwood framing and big windows facing Mount Tamalpais call for millwork that is measured and built for the room, not pulled from a catalog.

  • Built-ins and shelving walls for living rooms, libraries and stair landings
  • Media walls and window seats fitted to sloped ceilings and odd corners
  • Home offices with desks, shelving and storage built as one piece
  • Wall paneling, wainscoting and slat walls in white oak, walnut or painted finishes
  • Custom dining tables, benches and consoles for open living spaces. See custom furniture in Mill Valley

Restaurants, cafés and shops

Downtown Mill Valley, from Throckmorton Avenue to Miller Avenue and the Depot plaza, is full of independent restaurants, cafés and boutiques where the interior is part of the brand. We build:

  • Bars, back bars and serving counters
  • Banquettes, booths, restaurant tables and chairs
  • Host stands, café counters and pastry cases
  • Retail displays and shelving

Our restaurant work includes furniture for two Michelin-starred dining rooms in Sacramento. See restaurant furniture for Mill Valley.

Work we have done in the Bay Area

For the 1X Technologies headquarters in San Carlos we built more than 100 custom cherry cabinets and two 65-foot shelving walls around six 18-foot arched windows in about four weeks. For a San Francisco home we built a solid oak dining table on a hand-polished stainless steel base.

How a Mill Valley project works

  1. Send photos, plans or a sketch through our project form.
  2. We visit and measure. Walls, floors and ceilings are checked on site so every piece fits.
  3. Drawings and samples. You approve shop drawings and finish samples before we build.
  4. We build in our shop in Rancho Cordova, near Sacramento.
  5. Delivery to Mill Valley. We crate and deliver, and coordinate with your builder or designer.
