Custom Millwork & Furniture in Berkeley, CA
PhillBuilt builds custom millwork and furniture for Berkeley homes, restaurants, cafés and shops. Berkeley has one of the best food scenes in California, and we build the bars, seating and counters that go into those rooms.
Trusted by Michelin-starred restaurants: we built custom furniture for The Kitchen and Localis, both starred in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide California. See our fine dining work.
For Berkeley homes
Berkeley's craftsman bungalows, brown-shingle houses and hillside homes deserve built-ins that match their character. We build in solid white oak, walnut and cherry.

From the Gourmet Ghetto on Shattuck to Fourth Street and College Avenue, Berkeley restaurants and cafés need custom millwork that stands up to daily service.
- Bars, back bars and serving counters
- Banquettes, booths, restaurant tables and chairs
- Host stands, café counters and retail displays
- Office millwork and reception desks
Bay Area work
For the 1X Technologies headquarters in San Carlos we built more than 100 custom cherry cabinets and two 65-foot shelving walls around six 18-foot arched windows in about four weeks. For a San Francisco home we built a solid oak dining table on a hand-polished stainless steel base.
How it works
We review your plans or photos, measure on site, send shop drawings and finish samples for approval, build in our shop near Sacramento, and deliver to Berkeley. See how a custom millwork project works.
