Custom Restaurant & Commercial Millwork for San Diego
PhillBuilt builds custom millwork and furniture for San Diego restaurants, cafés and homes. We built out all the furniture and millwork for Little While, a coffee and pastry shop in North Park, and we've also done work for POP PIE CO. Everything is fabricated in our own shop in Rancho Cordova, finished and crated, then delivered to San Diego.
Featured San Diego project: Little While, North Park
Little While is a coffee and pastry shop in North Park built around warm white oak and lots of curves. We built every piece of furniture and millwork in the space:
- Rounded seating and tables
- Curved bar front and a hanging soffit
- Pastry case, merchandise casework and wall paneling
- All in North American white oak, with upholstery, metal fabrication and glass handled by our shop
Coordinated remotely. All measurement and coordination happened over calls, email and video, with just one trip to San Diego for initial measurements. Fabrication took five weeks.

- Counters and service stations, including CNC-textured fronts like our work at Franquette
- Banquettes, booths and wall benches
- Bar fronts and back bars, fluted, slatted or paneled
- Solid wood tables in white oak, walnut and cherry
- Retail and bakery fixtures like the mobile bread racks we built for Faria Bakery
